    Congratulations to the Student of the Week, Josephine Parks, listed in the March 14th. edition of the Anaconda Leader.  Student of the Week is sponsored by the Community Hospital of Anaconda.  Josephine was nominated by Mrs. Kelly for always trying her hardest in class to do the best she can.  Josephine's parents are Noel and William Parks.  Her hobbies include being with friends, playing the Wii, and swimming.  Her favorite class is Science because she learns stuff her parents haven't taught her.  When she graduates high school, she wants to become a zoologist.
    Congratulations to the Athlete of the Week, Wyatt Theard, listed in the March 14th. edition of the Anaconda Leader.  Athlete of the Week is sponsored by Dee Motor Co. The Anaconda cross-country runner competed in the Anaconda St. Patrick's Day race and was again near the top of the leaderboard, finishing seventh overall in 17:47.31.

    • Mrs. Kelly’s 7th Grade Geography Class is working on a unit on Central America.
    • Mr. Orrino’s 7th Grade Science is working on plant and animals cells.
    • Mr. Matosich’s 8th grade science is working on light and sound.
    • Mrs. Everett’s 8th grade English is reading “The Diary of Anne Frank”.
    • Mr. Rieger’s Sophomore English class just wrapped up a unit over the novel ‘The Road’ and will now begin a unit over the play ‘Twelve Angry Men’. Members of his Creative Writing class are working on writing 10-minute plays.
    • Mr. Kelly’s Senior English Class is working on their Senior Anthology project, more specifically their personal philosophy statements and Top 20 lists.
