Meet the Superintendent
I am Justin Barnes the superintendent of Anaconda Public Schools – District 10. Thank you for taking the time to navigate through our website and look around.
A little bit about me, I am originally from Texas. I was born and raised there for the majority of my life. I graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology before pursuing my Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. I moved to the wonderful state of Montana in 2010 and have loved having the opportunity to raise my family here. We absolutely love the outdoors and feel blessed to be here in Anaconda as it is a true outdoor enthusiast paradise that offers some of the best hunting in the state, fishing, skiing, and plenty of access to some of the best health care in the state.
As I begin my seventeenth year in education, I still have a lot of drive to make great things happen for the students I serve. I believe we should never stop learning. I am in year three of four in perusing my Ed.D. in Educational Administration. In collaboration with the administration and staff, I am focused on improving graduation rates, cleaning up attendance issues, strengthening our community relationship, and offering our students the best opportunities out there in order that they are prepared for life beyond this district. It is my sincerest hope that when they leave they are contributing and productive members of our society and this state. Ultimately if they have a positive experience here and are able to do this, then we have helped prepare them for life.
If you would like to learn more about the great things going on in our school district please check out the links to the right on this page or feel free to contact me at any time. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 406-563-6361 Ex 1621.
Yours in Education,
