Anaconda's Got Talent

How You Can Help

Dear FMIS Parents and Guardians,

Our school is excited about our fundraiser, “Anaconda’s Got Talent”. This year promises to be even bigger and better than last year, and provide another evening of exciting entertainment and fun for the whole family. Fred Moodry Middle School presents “Anaconda’s Got Talent” at the Washoe Theatre at 6:00 on Friday, November 16, 2018.

In keeping with the “anything for kids” spirit of the community of Anaconda, several acts have volunteered to compete for first, second and people’s choice prizes in a live program where they will showcase their fancy footwork. In addition to our dance competition, there will be a silent auction, concessions, and a talented showcase of stars between dancers. Anaconda Community Foundation has generously sponsored this event by meeting our overhead costs, but we need help from our students and their families when it comes to raising money through ticket sales.

How students can help:

  1. The student ticket campaign will begin Monday, October 29th, 2018. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 14 and under. (Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult). Each FMMS student is being asked to try to sell 1 adult ticket, and (or)1 child’s ticket. Students will ask purchasers to pay for their tickets ahead of receiving them. They will bring the check or cash to their teacher, and then receive the tickets for delivery. Teachers will fill out the ticket stubs with the name of purchasers, and attach them to the checks. This way, if tickets are lost or misplaced, they can be replaced with a pass.

  2. Students will deliver tickets to patrons before receiving more to sell. Checks should be made out to Fred Moodry intermediate School. The Student Ticket Sales Campaign will end for students on Wednesday, November 14th. Students are required to turn in money, or any unsold tickets that day. After that date, tickets will be available from the FMMS Office and Staff, Thrifty Drug, Pad n Pencil, Beyond Necessity, Copperopolis, and at the window the night of the show. Please help your student sell tickets within your family and work place to assure their safety. There will be ads in the Anaconda Leader announcing the ticket campaign the Wednesday and Friday before the sale starts and the week of the sale. All proceeds go to student rewards, incentives, assemblies, field trips and “classroom wish lists” outside the district budget.
