Overview

Welcome to the Anaconda Public Schools Special Services Education site. The Special Services Department has the responsibility for assuring that children with disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment. The Anaconda Special Services Department provides training, technical assistance and special education services to the children, parents, educators and organizations of Anaconda.

Anaconda Public Schools provide a comprehensive program that serves students ages 3-18 who need individual educational services. Depending on their needs, some students are fully included in general education with modifications and minimal support from special education staff. Other students are taught in the general education classroom both by special education and classroom teachers. Some students receive pull-out services and finally, a few of our students spend half or more of their day in a special education classroom. Our Special Education Department staff includes teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapist, paraprofessionals, and a psychologist.
