Anaconda High School Student Death

In an effort to keep open communication, we want to bring a matter to your attention. It is with deep sadness to inform you that one of our students passed away earlier this morning.

We understand some students may know the family and that this news is challenging to
hear. Your child’s social, emotional and academic well-being is important to us. Please
know that our counselors are available for any students who may need support. Although
we cannot predict how any child may react, we are sensitive to our grieving adolescents.

If you feel your child is having difficulty with this news and may benefit from our school’s
support, please call the school at 563-5269 or email our counselors Mr. Joe Casey at
jcasey@anacondaschools.org or Mrs. Kari Hoscheid at khoscheid@anacondaschools.org.

Out of respect for the family's privacy, this is the only information we are able to share.
Thank you for understanding and feel free to contact us if you have any questions or
concerns.

With regards,
John Sullivan, Superintendent, Anaconda Public Schools
Erik Swanson, Principal, Anaconda Junior/Senior High School
